Marshall McLuhan is well known for his innovative thoughts on how technology and media would influence our society, and our task for this project was to design covers for two of his influential books: The Medium is the Massage and Global Villages. A third book was to be made up by us, which I titled The Tech Takeover. The story throughout these three covers follows a hand slowly being taken over by technology. In The Medium is the Massage, the hand is being caressed by wires. In Global Villages, the wires have integrated into the hand. Finally, in The Tech Takeover, the hand has realized it has been taken over and starts to fight back, but it is too weak in comparison to the digital hand.
