This is stuff that was either completed as a smaller school project or on my own for fun. The slide bar on the right has snippets of each illustration, and you can click on an image or scroll down to see it full size and learn more about it.

This is an illustration I decided to make over the summer to practice some of my Illustrator skills. It currently lives as my computer background.
This is something that I decided to do for my sister's birthday. I took some of her more recent Instagram photos and illustrated them.
apple mountain
I made this for a design contest for Hirosaki, Japan. The city loves their apples, and wanted some sort of design that illustrated this. I decided to illustrate Mount Iwaki, a mountain found near the city, as an apple.

the light catches the veins in her hands
This was made for a small project that was based off of the poem "To the fig on 9th and Christian" by Ross Gay. The goal was to take a line from the poem and design it in some way. We were encouraged to stay away from illustration, instead focusing on text and image.
font psychology
This "infographic" was created for a typography class after watching the movie "Helvetica." One of the things that really stuck out to me was how Helvetica can be used and manipulated in so many different ways, with each one creating a unique feeling in the viewer. This is why I decided to emphasize this from the movie and the idea of font psychology.
